The ConocoPhillips Refinery and Carbon Plant invite you to join with us in honoring and celebrating the service of our military veterans. Currently, our employees are organizing the “4th Annual ConocoPhillips Walk of Honor” which will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012. The "Walk of Honor" will be a short walk across the Alfred Zampa memorial bridge and back. Last year’s event was a huge success. More than 400 employees, contractors and local residents participated in the celebration, and together we raised in excess of $36,000. We are working hard to surpass last years fundraising and attendance milestones, and with your help we are sure to succeed! We promise you a fun, exciting and fulfilling day honoring the men and women who have valiantly served our nation.
Once again, we are partnering with both the Vietnam Veterans of the Diablo Valley (VNVDV), and the Crockett Community Services District (CCCSD). We will equally divide all proceeds from the Walk between these two organizations. The VNVDV is an incredible organization comprised of community volunteers who work diligently providing support services to veterans in need, including hosting the “East Bay Stand Down”. The volunteers of the CCSD have undertaken a huge public benefit challenge, as they lead efforts to restore the Crockett Veterans Memorial Hall. We are very honored to support these two worthy causes and hope we can count on your support.
